As of March 26, 2026 a new psychological horror mini series hit netflix quickly gaining popularity by the familiar faces on the screen. Big stars such as Camila Marrone (Rachel) and Adam DiMarco (Nicky) were the front runners of the show playing the part of an engaged couple to be wed as the pair heads down to Nicky’s family home, a cabin in the woods of a small town in Upstate New York.
The mini series includes 8 episodes with a run time of about an hour each episode. This show is all consuming, leaving some fans to finish the series in a single sit down, as the storyline is thrilling, horrifying, and an all around paranoia.
The story in the show, while entertaining, some have claimed that the series is be made out to be an “outstretch” of a horror movie rather than an 8 episode series.
Though, I disagree. The show to me, is crucial in understanding the levity of the situation. Leaving you on the edge of your seat after each episode, making you want to see what happens next right away.
Which, as a viewer that is exactly how you should feel when watching a good series.
In its first 4 days after its release, the series topped the No. 1 spot on Netflix globally drawing in “28 million hours viewed in its debut week”.
The show was produced by the Duffer Brothers, popularly noted as the creators of Netflix hit series “Stranger Things”, ending at the end of last year after its finale hit season, the Duffer Brothers have helped create another hit series such as this one.
The creator of the series, Haley Boston, took on this show with the intent of portraying many horrifying and graphic scenes that would leave viewers with an “I can’t look away” attitude.
The show has led certain people to believe that the series has real potential to take home awards at upcoming award shows such as The Emmy’s for categories such as best limited series or best actress, as Camila Marrone’s performance was truly spectacular.
If the horror genre interests you in any way, this series might definitely be something that tickles your fancy.
