Almost 20 years after the original “I Know What You Did Last Summer” movie came out, a rebooting the franchise to a younger audience with the same story-line. As in the 1998 version, the movie follows a group of friends who go through a life altering moment together, which then proceeds to rewrite their future.
The 2025 version that premiered July 14, 2025, became a hit across the U.S. as familiar fan favorite faces re-entered the scene as well as other new and upcoming actors took the stage as well. Familiar faces such as Sarah Michelle Gellar (Helen), Freddie Prinze Jr. (Ray), and Jennifer Love Hewitt (Julie) all returned for the sequel, tying into the connections of the new friend group.
Madelyn Cline (Danica), Tyriq Withers (Teddy), and Chase Sui Wonders (Ava) are some of the biggest stars of the newer movie. Popular from shows such as Outer Banks and movies such as Reminders Of Him.
The movie is a suspenseful horror movie that will have you on the edge of your seat, begging the characters to turn around, or having you so scared you are looking away yourself.
