If you had to think of someone who would be the “best” at basketball, someone who never really watched the sport would probably say, “a really tall guy who can shoot.”

At 7′ 4″, what Victor Wembanyama is doing is something only imaginable.

The Rookie…

On June 22, 2023, the San Antonio Spurs selected Victor Wembanyama 1st overall in the NBA draft. During his rookie season, people were shocked. Seeing what was only imaginable. HE AVERAGED 21.4 PTS, 3.6 BLK’s, and 10.6 RBS a game. He didn’t waste any time to show people that he was ready to take over the league. By February, Victor Wembanyama also had a triple double with 10 blocks, first since 1990 David Robinson. Not only all of that, he had a game where he had 40 points and 20 rebounds, the fifth time a rookie has ever done something like that. Victor Wembanyama’ first year in show was wild.

2024…

By the time the season started, Victor couldn’t wait to run the league again. He was already ahead of everyone at the beginning of the season. By the 46th game of the season, Victor Wembanyama had a season ending injury, being diagnosed with blood clots in his right shoulder. Over a little bit of time healing, Victor wanted to get his mind and body on the same page so he used a 10-day stay to go meditate at a Shaolin temple in Zhengzhou, China.

Takes One to be One…

During the off-season while progressing post-injury faster than expected, Victor had some help with advancing his skills with big names. Jamal Crawford and Hakeem Olajuwon worked with him directly, and playing alongside Chris Paul, allowed him to absorb the basketball IQ that led him to being one of the league’s smartest PG’s.

His shooting has become a triple threat. His bag has defently gotten bigger with all his new moves in the mid-range and still pulling it from the logo off one foot. Wembanyama is one of the only people who can get two blocks in a row then pull up from 30+ in the same 20 seconds.

Take Over…

Victor Wembanyama early-season averages are 30 points, 14.6 rebounds, almost 5 blocks, and almost 2 steals. He helped the Spurs break the record for the longest undefeated record at the beginning of the season. And he is only getting warmed up.

7’2″ at the start of his rookie season, he is now 7’4″ and 236lbs.

If Wembanyama can do what he has been doing in the first few games this season, the league might have a new face. The man is a real 2k build, the type of person you would make so you could win every game, an “OP” if you will.
