Since the first announcement of the UFC White House card made by President Donald J. Trump last year, fans have waited in anticipation for what the company president Dana White described as, “the most stacked card of all time.”
Instead, fans were met with what feels like a rushed and underwhelming fight card. Many had speculated that the event would host multiple matches given the stage on which the event is being held on. Matches like Jon Jones vs. Alex Pereira, Ilia Topuria vs. Islam Makhachev, or “D’Sean” Strickland vs. Khamzat Chimaev.
Much to the dismay of many, the UFC unveiled a unveiled a main card consisting of the following matches: Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje, which will likely result in Justin sleeping on the canvas. Alex Pereira vs. Ciryl Gane, Sean O’Malley vs. Aiemann Zahabi, Mauricio Ruffy vs. Michael “The Running Man” Chandler. The unranked and undeserving Bo Nickal managed to secure a spot on the second event of the main card against fellow middleweight contender Kyle Daukaus. And finally, Diego Lopes will square off against Steve Garcia to start the main card.

When asked about Jones not being included on the White House card at the UFC 326 post-fight conference, Dana had this to say:
“Never, ever, ever, which I told you guys a hundred thousand times was Jon Jones ever even remotely in my mind to fight at the White House.”
“The Jon Jones thing is bullshit. I’m not saying they weren’t talking to Jon Jones and that Jon Jones wasn’t interested in the fight. What was even crazier is Jon Jones came out and was like, ‘I’m in negotiations right now for the White House fight,’ not even an hour after I had sent a text to his lawyer saying , ‘Never gonna happen, ever.”
Since the announcement from Dana, Jon has taken publicly to X to request his release from the organization expressing his disappointment. To the surprise of many, some of his former rivals namely Tom Aspinall and Daniel Cormier have taken to various social media platforms to express their support of Jones believing the company owes a star of his magnitude one last super fight before his retirement.

I think the card was very lack luster when revealed it sucks they don’t put more time into there picks when they have hype for fights and suggestions from fans that aren’t trash

It seems as though the UFC is choosing to prioritize fast production in comparison to quality content. Thank you for the comment!!
