The once beloved Australian NBA player Josh Giddey is facing some very serious allegations right now for allegedly having sexual relations with a minor. There are pictures floating around the internet of him with a girl named Liv Cook who is apparently a junior in high school, suggesting she is no older than 16 or 17. Giddey is 21 years old.

“I understand the question obviously, but there’s no further comment right now,” was Giddey’s response when asked about the situation by the media.

Some fans believe he is innocent. Some made observations saying the girl had a different eye color in one picture compared to the other, suggesting it was two different girls. There was a video floating around of Josh Giddey in a nightclub with the young girl, proposing that he either snuck her into the club, or she used fake identification which could benefit Giddey’s case if proven.

Most fans were upset by the news that the NBA was allowing Giddey to play in a game after the accusations had come out and put him on blast to the world. There are investigations going on, but there has yet to be any word on what kind of punishment Giddey will face. Chances are there will be no action taken until he is proven guilty.

This is the same league that is allowing Miles Bridges to continue playing basketball after beating the living shit out of his girlfriend and throwing billiard balls at her car while his kids were inside of it, so I’m not surprised to see them allow Giddey to continue playing.

If you know any OKC Thunder fans, you should take some time out of your day to ask them if they need anything and comfort them during these stressful times.

Just when it seemed OKC would take the league by storm and be a serious playoff team, these shenanigans put a damper on things. The Thunder are still currently the second seed in the Western Conference and have been playing incredible basketball, mainly led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and rookie phenom Chet Holmgren. But, Josh Giddey is also an important piece to their young team and this serious situation could end up setting the Thunder back not just on the court, but in the locker room as well.

It’s just something about that 2021 draft class that needs to be analyzed because there have been quite a few guys that have made some boneheaded mistakes from that class. First was the video of Jalen Green dry humping his teammate Josh Christopher. Then there was James Bouknight, who was found lying intoxicated and unconscious in his car while it was in drive, which led to a DWI arrest. Let’s also not forget Kai Jones, who out of nowhere seemed to develop some kind of serious mental issue, saying all kinds of blasphemous things on the internet, which included asking for his own release from the Charlotte Hornets.

We can throw Josh Giddey into that mix, along with all these interesting characters. Hopefully, these accusations turn out to be false and Josh Giddey can continue to play basketball, but it is not looking too bright right now for the young OKC point guard.
