After fifteen years with the UFC organization Cub Swanson has officially retired following his first round finish over fellow featherweight Nate Landwehr on what many would call a story book ending.
Swanson was the last fighter that was acquired by the UFC through way of the purchase of fellow rival organization WEC that was still actively fighting and regularly delivering spectacular performances during his outings in the octagon.
Swanson retired with a record of 31 win and 14 loses and was seen by many longtime fans as a living legend in the sport.
The team over here at the roadrunner would like to thank Cub Swanson for everything he’s done for this sport and the UFC organization. The lights of the stadium may fade but the legacy you have created will live on long past events that transpired tonight at the UFC327. The blood, sweat, and tears that you left in the octagon during your many bouts will be cherished by fans for many generations to come. We wish you the best of luck in your future coaching endeavors and look forward to hopefully seeing the legend known as Cub Swanson cornering the young up and coming fighters of tomorrow.
