Butte College Prom

Step into the spotlight this upcoming May as Butte College rolls out the red carpet for a one-of-a-kind Hollywood-themed prom.

Hosted by the Butte College Film Club, The Butte College prom will take place on Friday, May 17, from 6-10 PM at the main campus gym. The event is open to all, Butte students or not, and promises to be a night to remember.

Admission is free for everyone, but for logistical reasons, tickets will be required and can be obtained at no cost on Eventbrite.

The prom is set to be a memorable evening, with organizers putting in a lot of effort to ensure it shines. The event will feature local food trucks such as EJ’s Burritos and Kona Shaved Ice, among others. Free snacks and drinks will also be provided.

Beyond the bites, the entertainment lineup includes a live DJ, and organizers are in the hope of securing a band to perform live to elevate the night even further. Fun games such as cornhole will also be available for attendees to enjoy throughout the evening.

Guests are encouraged to embrace and dress in the “Hollywood” theme, which, according to organizer Zac Colorado, is up for interpretation. Beyond following the college’s general dress code, the only specific rule for dressing is that high heels are not allowed, in an effort to protect the gym’s flooring.

With no cost to attend and doors open to all, the Butte College prom is an opportunity to make memories that will last a lifetime. Don’t let this chance slip by; register now for what is without a doubt one of the most anticipated Butte College events of the semester.
