Butte College Nursing Department hosts a Career Fair

On Tuesday, May 5, Butte College Nursing Department hosted a well-attended career fair for nursing students and students thinking about applying for the competitive program.
Butte College nursing department retention specialist Janine Gomez  said the fair hosted people from the healthcare industry, both hospitals and other care facilities, as well as representatives from universities for students that transferring to get their BSN degree after completing their RN degree here at Butte.

Local representatives from Enloe Hospital, Oroville Hospital, Northern Valley Indian Health and Ampla Health offered information tables.

Many students attended the event, exploring booths and reviewing flyers and pamphlets to learn more about various programs.

Hello my name is Matthew Taylor. I’m a first generation college student born and raised here in Chico. I’m a criminal justice major with a minor in journalism and photography.  After Butte College, I’m transferring to Chico State. I like to watch movies, and hang out with friends and family. I like to read, write, travel and go to concerts.  I’m the youngest and only boy out of 4 older sisters. Our family has a lot of  history in Chico. If you want to know more, feel free to reach out. My 10th great grandfather  chico founder is  John Bidwell  im also mechoopda tribe on my father’s side and Cherokee on my mothers side
