Submission Guidelines

One submission includes:

• Artwork & Photography: Up to 5 pieces sent as .JPEG files
• OR
• Creative Nonfiction: Up to 3,000 words
• OR
• Fiction: Up to 3,000 words
• OR
• Poetry: Up to 5 poems

All submissions must:

• be titled.
• be free of mechanical and grammatical errors. The Butte College Roadrunner reserves the right to make any editing changes deemed necessary.
• be original, previously unpublished work.
• include at least one graphic or image to accompany work (if not original, the image must be open-sourced and not copyrighted)
• list your preferred name, pronouns and email
• ***non-English submissions can include English translations but translations are not required.

All written submissions must be:​

• formatted in Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx, or .rtf).
• formatted in 12 point, Times New Roman font.
• double spaced.

Selections for publication are made by the student production team. We will email you with our decision.
