Next Thursday, July 25, 2024, the Butte Film Festival’s interstitial film, “BUFF: The Truth is Out There,” will be screened at the Pageant.
The screening will occur at 8:00 PM, and admission is free, but due to limited seating, attendees must RSVP beforehand.
The movie’s plot follows a UFO-hunting detective, played by James Asosi, uncovering alien abductions of Butte County’s best filmmakers.
The film has a unique structure, with an intro, an outro, and six scenes in between, each directed by one of the many directors involved.
The directors featured in the film are Curtis Bell, Bobby Brothers, Dillon Tharp, Aaron Church, Ginger Nichols, and Sky Murphy.
The purpose of the screening is to showcase the film made by some of Butte County’s best aspiring filmmakers and to elevate the hype surrounding this year’s Butte Film Festival.
The event, which will take place in early December, is expected to be much better and bigger than last year’s festival.
This makes next Thursday the perfect day to refresh our memories of just how fun BUFF 2023 was as we anticipate the much greater 2024 edition of the festival.
When talking about the screening of “The Truth is Out There,” event organizer and Butte Film Club personality Curtis Bell said, “The whole thing is to show appreciation for Butte Film Club members and the Butte Film Festival team.”
So, come and join your local filmmakers and film enthusiasts for a unique night.
A night where we will get to relive the excitement of BUFF 2023 as we gear up for an even bigger and better BUFF 2024.
RSVP today and ensure your spot at what promises to be an unforgettable evening.
