We’ve seen a number of wars and altercations between opposing sides within the last few years. While the United States has yet to get directly involved, we have been aiding our allies one way or another. For example, the US government has been sending billions of dollars, along with supplies, to Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war. Besides the federal government, there’s also been independent teams aiding as well.

Save our Allies is one of those teams. It’s an organization founded by Chad Robichaux, Sarah Verardo, Nick Palmisciano, and Tim Kennedy. Their goal, from the start, has been rather simple, to save our allies. Beginning in 2021, as a response to the U.S. pulling troops out of Afghanistan as the Taliban began to seize the country, Chad’s combat interpreter from his time serving in Afghanistan, Aziz, reached out for help and the group of four sprang into action.

From Chad’s initial interest in one person, an elite group of 12 people, equipped with planes along with aid from the U.S. government in the form of a hanger, ramp and an official destination was formed. They have successfully rescued 12,000 American citizens, SIV (Special Immigrant Visas) holders, and Afghan allies that the U.S. government had left behind.

Yet their mission is far from over. Currently, part of the team is on the ground in Israel working to save more innocent people from the tragedies unfolding. If you’re interested in contributing to their team, there are options to donate, or volunteer found on their website http://saveourallies.org.
