On a cold Thursday morning, February 19, 2026, the Butte College main campus was sprinkled with snow. The snow was unexpected.
Butte College student Sophia Larson was happy and surprised by the snow. She doesn’t like the cold but said it was “a beautiful experience.”
Noah Thor, a 4th-semester student, enjoys the snow but “would also love it if they had a snow day and cancelled classes.”
The last time snow stuck at the main campus was in the 80’s explained Meui Saelee, EOPS Program Assistant, and the campus “was closed for 2 days.”
