On Thursday, February 12, Butte College held a Club Rush Event where clubs hosted informational tables and recruited new members. 

Josh Lopez, a current student  of Butte College and member of the robotics club said, “I think just having the presence of different cultural events and clubs helps bring the campus to life.”  

He enjoys seeing the faces of those students who are involved on campus and believes the college should host more events because they “make students feel welcome.”

Cameron Goodson, another student, agrees that the events bring a sense of community, “you get to meet new and returning students and make new friends.”

His one suggestion is more advertisement “so more people would know about the events.” 

Both the Welcome Event and Club Rush, events designed to make students feel welcome, were not well attended.
