Gomis vs Ruchala: Both men came into the fight with a kickbox heavy approach, trading beautiful combinations throughout the majority of the first round.
Coming into round two Gomis continues to work the body of Ruchala, forcing him into the clinch where Ruchala brings Gomis to the ground utilizing a single leg takedown but found himself unable to get past the submission defense of Gomis.
Gomis wasted no time going into the third-round landing multiple combinations against his opponent. Capitalizing on Gomis’s failure to return his hands to his chin when throwing punches, Ruchala landed a well-placed round house kick to the head of Gomis that left him rocked in the closing seconds of the round three.
Ultimately the Judges gave the nod to Gomis resulting in a unanimous decision victory for the Frenchman.
Sola vs Mckee: It looked as though neither man had any plans of sticking around tonight, with both sides bloodying each other up only two minutes into the first round.
Entering the second round we saw a newfound confidence from Mckee, who pressured Sola against the cage and began to land combinations at will.
McKee didn’t skip a beat coming into the third round, looking refreshed and ready for war, he was able to put a pace on Sola that would have broken most. However, Sola was able to weather the storm before following up with an uppercut to the body of McKee, dropping him down to the canvas and receiving a TKO victory at 2:02 in the third round.
Oki vs Jones: Not looking to be outshone by the previous contenders, both fighters pressed forward swinging for the fences, with both men exchanging significant combos resulting in a knockdown.
Jones came out with a boxing heavy style in the second round, keeping his opponent at bay with his constant jabs. As Oki attempted to close the distance, he was brought down by an immaculate Koshi-Guruma hip throw from the Welshman. Unable to advance his position on the canvas, Oki found himself being decimated by strikes on the ground from his opponent leading to a TKO stoppage at 3:28 of the second round, and a performance of the night bonus for Jones.
Bukauskas vs Craig: Bukauskas absolutely dominated Craig throughout the entirety of the first round, circling the Scotsman and landing shots with ease before securing a KO at very end of round one.
BSD vs Ruffy: Ruffy came into the octagon riding a wave of hype that would come crashing down in the very first moments of the fight. BSD opened with a devastating round house to the body of Ruffy, leaving the Brazilian hesitant to throw anything significant against the Frenchman for the remainder of round one.
Ruffy came out with a flying knee to open the round. A then wobbled BSD shot for the takedown which Ruffy stuffed easily before inviting BSD back to his feet. Regaining his composure quickly, BSD was able to find success with his next take down attempt where he quickly advanced to the back of Ruffy and used a neck crank to submit the Brazilian at 2:56 of the second round. The Frenchman’s hometown crowd erupted as his hand was raised in Victory with sound levels as high as 112 decibels being recorded in the arena.
Imavov vs Borralho: Borralho and Imavov met in the middle of the octagon, with both fighters landing significant combinations and each man having their respective moments before Imavov edged out the round with his slick counter striking.
Imavov immediately came out implanting the same gameplan he had established at the end of the first round, luring Borralho into the pocket before landing some very destructive counters and comfortably securing the round.
Both fighters came out with bad intentions coming into the third round, with some great exchanges on both sides. Borralho found himself momentarily rocked by a left hook from Imavov before throwing caution to wind and coming dangerously close to finishing the Frenchman in the final moments of the round.
Imavov entered into the fourth round looking to implement a new game plan and focused on working the body of Borralho during their following exchanges, slowing the Brazilian significantly.
Imavov approached the Brazilian in the beginning of the final round looking to dominate, but Caio came out of his corner with a newfound will to win. Landing some very powerful straights Borralho looked to have finally gotten into his flow state, landing strikes at ease against Imavov, but it was too little too late heading into the closing seconds of the final round. With all three judges scoring the fight in favor of Imavov leading to a unanimous decision win for the Frenchman and wrapping up the fight card for Paris.
