Earlier today, at 7:24 AM, Butte College notified students of a temporary closure of the Main Campus due to a power outage, with an expected reopening time of 12:00 PM.
However, a follow-up email sent at 11:25 AM confirmed that the power outage still persists and that due to this, the Main Campus will remain closed for the rest of the day, November 4, 2024.
According to the email sent by the college, PG&E crews are still on site working to resolve the outage; and the college anticipates reopening all in-person operations tomorrow, Tuesday, November 5, at 7:00 AM.
As mentioned previously, all other Butte College campuses are fully operational with classes going on as normal.
