In the hustle and bustle of a busy college schedule, every student could use a classic cup of coffee to keep them going. Here are my top 5 choices for the best place where you, a hardworking college student, can grab a latte to go or sip a cappuccino while you study.

First on the list is Stoble Cofee. If you have been to Stoble you know it’s a great place to study and it’s conveniently placed in the heart of downtown Chico. Stoble makes the top five for two reasons, first, it has great parking. Although the parking isn’t free, you won’t have to walk far before you can enjoy a hand-crafted latte or tea. Secondly, it has a warm inviting energy, perfect for long study sessions.

Next is Coffee Ranch. Coffee Ranch is right next to the freeway for those who are on their way to class. They serve quality coffee and have a cute little seating area. This option has different advantages than our last coffee shop. Unlike Stoble, Coffee Ranch has both indoor seating and a drive-through for those of us who are on the go. They are perfect for a quick stop rather than a long stay, but whether you take your coffee for-here or to-go, their quality is great!

Third on the list is Day Camp Coffee. Not only is the atmosphere perfect for studying, but the quality of the coffee is hard to beat. Day Camp Coffee has both downstairs and upstairs seating with comfy chairs and sofas to curl up in and read that book your English teacher assigned. Day Camp is located in Meriam Park, surrounded by a pilates studio, pickleball courts, a nail salon, and a juice bar. If any of those other shops pique your interest I would suggest checking out Day Camp Coffee.

Moving right along, next is Bidwell Perk. Bidwell Perk has been a staple in the local coffee shop scene for decades. Bidwell Perk is also located near the freeway if you’re on your way to class, however, it lends itself to a long-term study session rather than a quick stop-and-go coffee shop. The quality of the coffee rivals that of Day Camp because they both use top-quality beans. Bidwell Perk has comfortable seating and a welcoming atmosphere.

Last on the list is The Grateful Bean. Located on the north end of Chico, The Grateful Bean has lots to offer when it comes to quality coffee and pastries as well. There is plenty of room to sit and study and there are restaurants right next door if you decide coffee and sweets aren’t enough.

We hope that’s enough information to get you caffeinated and ready for class, and remember, if you forget to grab a coffee on your way to school, you can always grab a sweet treat or a quick pick-me-up at our cafe on campus!
