Ever wanted to fly a drone? Do you know how to fly a drone but want to learn how to be certified? Has anyone ever tell you that you’re good at taking photos and should take your skills to another level?.
Butte Community College has a course offered in the summer and fall semesters, this fall courses will be offered at the Glenn Center, and the Main Campus offers the course during both semesters.
The Course is a hybrid course, offered online and in person at the Main Campus, and Glenn Center, Monday and Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:45 from August 22 to December 16, 2024

- Learn to fly in drone farming
- Learn to fly in drone delivery
- Learn to fly in Photo and video
The course offers to teach different skills to lead to a job and/or career, such as:
- Practice flying multiple types of drones
- Learn how different drones are used in different industries and professions
- Prepare for the part 107 professional drone certification test (FAA)
- Get certified for recreational flying
This can be taken with or without a major, if you have the time and can take the course then take it, you never know what skills are needed for what job or event that can lead to more money or advancement.
College experience is about having a good time while you learn new skills, meet new people, and learn new things. Don’t be shy, or nervous about learning new skills. Come and take the course you never know where the skill can lead you.
