August 17-18, the organization “Chico Aguilas FC” will be hosting a two-day soccer camp featuring Mexican legend Francisco “Paco” Torres.
The event will take place at Pleasant Valley High School from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and is aimed at both boys and girls within the ages of 8-18.
This camp will provide a unique opportunity for local aspiring athletes to develop their skills under the guidance of a professional.
With approximately 100 local athletes expected to show up, the Chico Aguilas camp promises to offer intensive training sessions which will help all involved reach the next level.
Beyond the unique opportunity to enhance on-field skills, the camp will also be a chance for those involved to meet “Paco,” which in and of itself is already an amazing opportunity.
In an exclusive interview with organizer David Velazquez, it was explained that “there will be signed shirts, autographed balls, and we are even looking at the possibility of having a scout straight from Mexico City to watch the kids play.”
Beyond the two-day soccer camp, Chico Aguilas FC has big plans for the future.
Through a press release statement, the organization made it clear that they have plans to “establish a Club America academy in Chico within the next year.”
After reaching out to understand more about the possibility of a Club America academy coming to Chico, organizer David Velazquez said that at the moment the big hurdle being faced is getting a field for the academy—he said, “We need to sort out the field situation with Chico State or somewhere convenient.”
Chico Aguilas also brings with it big sponsorship opportunities for local businesses.
In the press release, it was explained that potential sponsors will receive ad space on camp jerseys and shoutouts on social media.
Interested parties are encouraged to reach out to David Velazquez via email ([email protected]) and get involved in supporting this community-enriching event.
So make sure to let your soccer-loving friends know about this extraordinary opportunity to have their kids train with a soccer legend.
