Stephen Curry has changed the game as we know it, inspiring the little kids and the new generation on a new play style. Fighting through some hard fought adversity and showing that he changes the game so much that whatever team he played for Warriors or the USA, he will change the outcome of the game.
Childhood…
Stephen Curry was born on March 14, 1988 in Akron Ohio, but spent most of his childhood in North Carolina. Moving wasn’t something him or his younger brother would understand, but it had to be done because their father Dell Curry had been traded to the Charlotte Hornets. Also spending time in Toronto, Canada, while their father was on the Toronto Raptors. When retirement hit for Dell Curry, the Curry family moved back to Charlotte.
The Realization of the First Love of the Game…
At just a really young age of 6, Steph had his shocking experience where he entered the flow state of the game and unlocked a mental state of the game and started to really love the felling of taking over the game. From that point on in his life, he took the game seriously and never let up. Throughout middle school and high school, Stephen Curry had always had to fight through adversity being the smallest on the court and being over all an undersized guard. Having to work twice as hard as the next guy, this built a strong work ethic and dedication. Training so much, up to “three a days.”
Davidson…
In 2006, Stephen Curry made the decision to go to Division 1 school Davidson. For the student part of Stephen’s life in the college, it was overall normal, going to the library to study with friends and eating at the school cafeteria. While GPA scores are not public information for Davidson College, Steph did get his degree in sociology from Davidson College.
He led the Wildcats to the NCAA tournament in his freshman year and Curry ended up being Davidson’s all-time leading scorer, leading his team to many different national tournaments getting fame all around the world and Starting name. Stephen Curry averaged, 25.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.1 steals, and 3.7 assists per game across 104 games. 2009 NBA Draft…
In the 7th round in the 2009 NBA draft, the Golden State Warriors selected Stephen Curry. Not being able to move to San Francisco, Curry lived in Oakland and in the surrounding Bay Area during his rookie season, and later purchased a home in Walnut Creek. In the rookie season for Steph, he averaged 17.5 points, 5.9 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per game, solidifying himself as a keeper and a trust worthy guard despite the fact that he had a wild injury and still declaring for the draft.

After the first championship for Steph was just the beginning of the takeover. In 2015 after the Champoin ship game, Steph moved him and his family to Francisco to be closer to where he was aligning his destiny on the Warriors. In the following year, the 2016 season for Stephen Curry made history, becoming the first unanimous NBA MVP in history and leading the Golden State Warriors to a record-breaking 73-9 regular season record. With being the NBA’s leading scorer with 402 3-pointers made in a single season (breaking another record), he also led the league in the most steals. Averaging 30.1 points per game, 6.7 assists a game, and 2.1 steals a game, he was shooting a 66.7 avg from the three point line. Ending that entire list, he was also selected First Team All NBA.
Stop Doubting…
Much later down the line in the 2022 season as the NBA playoff bracket was made, the commentators and the TV host of the NBA went on live television and got asked how many more championships Steph would get in the rest of his career and he said, “zero more in the next 4 years.” Then proceeded to hold a zero shape frame with his hand, holding it up to his eye looking through the frame.
2022 Season
Stephen Curry throughout the 2022 season broke the record for the most three-pointers made in NBA history while being the Sports Center MVP of the year. On top of all these accomplishments, Curry showed everyone why he is the best point guard in the history of basketball. The Warriors in the first round of playoffs went against a really good Denver Nuggets team and ended the series 4-1, while also beating the Memphis Grizzlies 4-2 .Destroying the Dallas Mavericks as well in the Western Finals 4-1, beating Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
During the 2022 season the Warriors had a record of 16-6 in the playoffs. Beating the Boston Celtics in the championship series 4-2. Steph got his 4th Championship, NBA Finals MVP, NBA All-Star MVP, Western Finals MVP, and the All-Time 3 point record. At the end of the game of 2022 when Stephen Curry finally showed everyone he was still a problem, he did the same hand gesture as the man on TV saying ” he has nothing more in him.” Curry stated that, “ I wanted this one so bad ” in one of his interviews.
Today’s game…
Fans will think anyone who takes a 30ft shot off a moving screen with 22 seconds left on the shot clock is considerably a bad shot. Steph Curry. It doesn’t matter how old this man gets, his shot is still so trust-able and I would be willing to put money on the line that he would go top 5 for most three by the end of the season. It’s been 8 games and Stephen Curry is averaging 26.6 points, 3.6 REB’s, and 4.4 AST. He is also shooting a 46.9% from the field.
