For those that are unaware of it’s existence, The Native American Center is a space located on the south western side of campus in the swing space area A-102.
The center is a place where Native American students can congregate and feel a real strong sense of community. The center itself offers many different amenities such as snacks, free school supplies for students in need and the many different networking opportunities base upon the major you are pursuing along with many other things.
During this last school year (2024-2025), the center awarded 13 grants to individuals who actively engaged with the center and met the financial requirements. This year the center is looking to offer even more grant opportunities to eligible students.
Eligible students, as defined by the Native American Student Success and Support Grant are encouraged to visit the space and have in an depth conversation with the current Native American Center Retention Specialist, Lily Vargas.
