On September 9, 2025, the Queer Resource Center at Butte College held an event welcoming all LGBTQIA2S+ students to the center, called a Lavender Lunch. They gathered under the solar panels near the art building. Many students gathered to enjoy the music, free food, and a space to socialize.
The Queer Resource Center offers several services to the community at Butte College. Direct support from peers in a community that you identify with, and a safe space to exist as your true, authentic self, are at the core of their mission.

It’s home to a clothing closet to receive gender-affirming clothing at no cost. Menstrual and health products are right inside the door, and the friendly staff are welcoming and ready to assist.
Their lending library is filled with Queer literature and other media to support and encourage.
If you are looking to receive support from the QRC, they are located near the art

building, and you can follow them on BC Connect, Instagram, and Facebook.
If you are looking to support the Queer Resource Center, you can look at their page titled Giving Back.
