Harvest Festival at Butte College
Butte College is opening its doors Saturday October 11 for its third annual harvest festival, expected to see its largest variety of pumpkins, themed games, music and activities fit for the whole family!
Everyone is welcome! Students bring your friends and family.
Enjoy showing them our campus as you search for the perfect pumpkin. Pick your own off the vine or see the selection harvested by our plant science and horticulture students. Join them on one of the two guided tours of the Wildlife Reserve and learn about the local ecology, safe trail practices and the animals that are seen on campus. There will be lunch available for purchase, but families are welcome to bring a picnic. Bring cash so you can grab a holiday memory. All pumpkins sold go to funding next year’s pumpkin crop. So, bring everyone and help support your college!
The harvest fest is not the only thing on campus that Saturday. Butte College will also be having a plant sale in the nursery hosted by the Horticulture Club and Horticulture Department. All plants available will be 30% off. The club adviser says, “This event is to encourage people out and to get their hands dirty.” So not only can the family come through for the holiday pumpkin, but you can get something to grow during the winter whether it be a succulent or a native flower.
Parking will be located at Lot 4 under the solar panels. Follow the colorful signs to the welcome area and then across the bridge to the pumpkin patch. It is currently expected to be warm on Saturday so be ready for the heat. Hydration stations will be available so bring a reusable container. Author’s tips: bring sunblock, sunglasses and close-toed shoes, as well as sturdy gloves to protect your hands as you harvest your great pumpkins.
We are excited to see you there! Join Butte College Saturday October 11, 2025 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Located at Orchard Field, Butte College Farm 3536 Butte Campus Drive Oroville, CA 95965.
